Responsible Gambling

Last updated: 1 June 2026

BetIQ Social is a social platform — we do not accept bets or handle money. However, because our community revolves around betting tips and outcomes, we take responsible gambling seriously and are committed to promoting safe, informed behaviour.

1. Our Commitment

BetIQ Social is strictly for users aged 18 and over. We are committed to:

  • Preventing underage access to the platform
  • Promoting gambling as entertainment, not a source of income
  • Providing tools and resources that support safer gambling behaviour
  • Never encouraging users to chase losses or gamble beyond their means
  • Refusing to glamorise problem gambling or present betting as a financial strategy

2. Gambling Is Entertainment — Not Income

Even the top tipsters on our leaderboard experience losses. Past performance — whether from a user or our AI predictions — is not a guarantee of future results. Tips shared on this platform are opinions, not financial advice.

Never bet money you cannot afford to lose. Set a budget, stick to it, and treat betting as one form of entertainment among many — not a way to make money.

3. Signs of Problem Gambling

You may have a gambling problem if you recognise any of the following:

  • Betting more than you planned or can afford
  • Chasing losses — placing more bets to try to recover money lost
  • Neglecting work, family, or other responsibilities because of gambling
  • Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling
  • Feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed when not gambling
  • Lying to friends or family about how much you bet
  • Gambling to escape problems or relieve negative feelings

If any of these apply to you, please reach out to one of the free helplines listed below. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

4. Practical Tips for Safer Gambling

  • Set a budget — decide in advance how much you are willing to spend per week or month
  • Set time limits — decide how long you will bet and stick to it
  • Never chase losses — if you have lost your budget, stop
  • Take regular breaks — step away from betting apps regularly
  • Keep betting separate from finances — don't use rent, bills, or savings money
  • Use bookmaker responsible gambling tools — deposit limits, time-outs, and self-exclusion are available on all regulated betting sites
  • Track your betting — honest tracking (which our platform encourages) helps you see the real picture

5. Self-Exclusion from BetIQ Social

If you feel that using BetIQ Social is negatively affecting your gambling behaviour, you can deactivate or permanently delete your account at any time via Settings → Account Management in the app, or by contacting support@betiqsocial.com.

We will process account deletion requests within 24 hours. You can also use the self-exclusion schemes offered by your bookmaker(s) to block access to betting sites directly.
