Child Safety Policy

BetIQ Social is strictly an 18+ platform. We have a zero-tolerance policy for underage access and for any content that exploits, harms, or endangers children.

1. Age Restriction

BetIQ Social is a betting-related social application. Because gambling content is strictly regulated, our platform is designed exclusively for adults aged 18 years and older. This restriction applies globally, regardless of local legal gambling ages.

By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We reserve the right to request age verification at any time and to immediately terminate any account found to belong to a minor.

2. How We Prevent Underage Access

  • Age declaration at registration: Users must confirm they are 18 or older during sign-up
  • App store age ratings: The app is submitted with a rating of 18+ / Adults Only on Google Play and 17+ on the Apple App Store, restricting discovery and download for underage users
  • Community reporting: Any user can report an account they believe belongs to a minor using the in-app report feature
  • Proactive review: Our moderation team reviews flagged accounts and removes those belonging to minors immediately
  • No marketing to minors: We do not target advertising or promotions at users under 18 on any platform

3. Zero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM)

BetIQ Social has an absolute zero-tolerance policy for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) and any content that sexually exploits minors. This includes:

  • Images, videos, or text that sexually depicts or exploits anyone under 18
  • Content that grooms, solicits, or endangers minors
  • Links to or promotion of external sites containing such material

Any account found to host, share, or solicit CSAM will be immediately and permanently banned and the content will be reported to the relevant national authorities, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via CyberTipline, and equivalent bodies in other jurisdictions.

4. Content Standards Protecting Minors

Our Content Policy prohibits all content that:

  • Depicts, promotes, or glorifies harm to children
  • Attempts to contact or solicit personal information from minors
  • Encourages minors to gamble or access gambling-related content
  • Uses imagery or language designed to appeal to users under 18

5. Data Protection for Minors

We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If we discover that personal data has been collected from a minor:

  • The account will be immediately suspended
  • All associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 48 hours
  • The incident will be logged and reviewed to improve our prevention measures

Our data practices comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) where applicable and equivalent regulations in other jurisdictions.

6. Reporting a Child Safety Concern

If you believe a user is under 18, or if you encounter any content that exploits or endangers children, please report it immediately:

  • In-app: Tap the three-dot menu on any post or profile → "Report" → select the relevant category
  • Email: safety@betiqsocial.com — child safety reports are treated as highest priority

We aim to review all child safety reports within 24 hours and take immediate action where necessary.

  • Your local law enforcement
